Verifone is a Silicon Valley-based tech company specializing in commerce / payment transactions. At SXSW 2017, they were introducing their “latest point-of-sale technology to developers,” and invited attendees to demo their product, the Verifone Carbon. They also said, “Hey, why not catch a ride in one of our sharp-looking pedicabs?”
Verifone selected the following options for their campaign:
Full wraps for 6 pedicabs, from our Ad printing menu. Specifically, they fully wrapped our sparkly pedicabs, and they looked gorgeous.
Driver-for-hire, from our Driver engagement menu. The pedicab drivers provided free rides for 6 hours per day, for two days, for a total of 72 hours. Verifone’s operation was based out of the J. W. Marriott, near the Austin Convention Center, and they filmed lots of interviews while seated in our pedicabs.
Custom canopies, from our Outside the box menu. Something that they did that I am a strong proponent of was adding their hashtag #VerifoneDev onto the canopy itself. It’s good promotion during the festival itself because the letters are large and legible, and we reuse those canopies long after the campaign has ended, so they effectively receive free advertising.
iDash, from our Digital menu. I’ll admit that I wasn’t involved with this campaign and the details about what they featured will have to come later!
Their campaign is a part of our Tech, services, & underwear portfolio.
