Move Austin Forward @ ACL 2016

In 2016, City of Austin residents were asked to raise their property taxes to pay for Prop 1, a $720 million mobility bond. Despite outreach efforts to different constituencies, polling reflected mixed to negative views. Because of that polling, a political action committee named Move Austin Forward was formed by different organizations that were interested in Prop 1’s passage.

Over the course of Move Austin Forward 6-week ad campaign, my conservative estimate is that it made 1 million impressions. It began Friday, September 3rd, and ran til Tuesday, November 8th — Election Day. It covered both weekends of Austin City Limits Music Festival; a few University of Texas Longhorns football games; Halloween; the massive local-oriented Pecan Street Festival; and several weekends and minor festivals.

Prop 1 passed with 59% of the vote.

Move Austin Forward selected the following option for their ad campaign:

Full wraps for 37 pedicabs, from our Ad printing menu. This was and still remains to be our single largest campaign ever.

Their campaign hasn’t been added to any portfolio yet.
