Kerbey Lane Cafe @ ACL 2018

Posted on

Kerbey Lane Cafe is an, if not the, original Austin late-night cafe chain. They have 8 restaurants across the Austin area, and I have eaten at 7 of them. (One is located in a northern suburb, where I rarely am or go.) If you like to support local restaurants, especially those with tasty food, then Kerbey Lane Cafe is well worth the visit.

A signature dish is the eponymous “Kerbey queso.” Kerbey queso mixes queso, guacamole, and pico de gallo, and I think I’ve ordered it every time I’ve been, even at breakfast. Kerbey queso is so popular that, earlier this year, both its recipe and a sample of it were loaded onto a SpaceX Falcon rocket and sent off to the moon.

Kerbey Lane Cafe selected the following options for their campaign:

3D fixtures, from our Outside the box menu. We created 3 large bowls of Kerbey queso for 3 pedicabs.

Driver branding and Driver-for-hire, from our Driver engagement menu. The pedicab drivers were provided Kerbey Lane Cafe-branded t-shirts, and they provided free rides for 2 hours per day (from 4 PM to 6 PM) for both weekends of ACL, for a total of 36 hours. The shirts read “Brunch Vibe.” Pretty cute.

Their campaign is a part of our Food & restaurants portfolio.
