After we get the front and rear triangles, seat stays and drop outs tacked together and aligned the next step in our process is to complete the welding of the frame. After this we install braze-ons, inspect the frame and touch up if needed, then they are off to the powdercoaters.
This is a time lapse video of Wes Williams doing some of the final welding on a frame. Wes has 28 years experience as a bicycle frame builder. In years past he worked for IBIS and had his own brand of frames for many years, Willits. Among other things Wes is regarded as the first frame builder to make 29’er mountain bikes. Since Precision Pedicab is the first to make 29’er pedicabs it only seems appropriate to have him on our team.
