Help sought in pedicab wreck

Austin police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who was driving a black sports car they say collided with a pedicab on the Ann Richards Congress Avenue Bridge last month, leaving one man critically injured.

Also, Red Bull North America, which was hosting an event in Austin that weekend, is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.

The cab was traveling south about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 24 when it was hit by the car, police said. The pedicab driver, 31-year-old Russell Stinnett, and one passenger were taken to a hospital, treated and released, police said. A second passenger, Jeff Uribe of San Antonio, was taken to Brackenridge Hospital in critical condition, police said. He has been released, a hospital official said.
