The driver of a pedicab injured in a hit-and-run accident on the south end of the Congress Avenue Bridge last month makes an appeal for the driver of the car that hit him to come forward. Russell Stinnett (STIN-ut) was taking two passengers to a hotel when they were hit near South Congress Avenue and Barton Springs Road.

“I heard the tires squealing and then the impact of the car hitting the fiberglass that the carriage of the cab is made of,” Stinnett says, “and then, next thing I know, I’m flying over the back of the cab.”

One of his passengers, Jeff Uribe , suffered head injuries and spent two weeks in intensive care. Police are looking for a dark vehicle that was near Congress and Barton Springs Road just before two A-M on August 24th. Energy drink maker Red Bull, Uribe’s employer, has put up a 25-thousand dollar reward. Uribe was helping his employers with that weekend’s Red Bull “Flugtag.”
